Volunteer Opportunities
A Place for Everyone—Find Your Perfect Role
We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities, so there’s a role for every interest and schedule:
- Academic Tutors: Support students in reading, math, or science through one-on-one or group tutoring sessions.
- Program Assistants: Help coordinate and supervise after-school enrichment activities, arts, sports, and more.
- Family Engagement Volunteers: Welcome families at events, facilitate workshops, and help connect them to resources.
- Event Helpers: Plan, set up, and staff our special events, community days, fundraisers, and celebrations.

Steps to Become a Volunteer
Easy and Welcoming—How to Join Our Volunteer Family
- Express Your Interest:
Fill out our volunteer interest form online, send us an email at contact@allencf.site, or visit us at 10330 Howells Ferry Rd, Semmes, AL 36575-6700. Let us know your interests, skills, and availability. - Meet With Us:
Our Volunteer Coordinator will contact you for an informal meeting or phone call to learn more about your background and discuss how you’d like to get involved. - Application and Screening:
For the safety of our children, all volunteers must complete a simple application and background check process. - Orientation and Training:
Attend an orientation session where you’ll learn about our mission, programs, policies, and volunteer expectations. Role-specific training is also provided so you feel prepared and confident. - Get Started:
You’ll be matched with a program or event based on your interests and schedule. Our team will support you every step of the way! - Stay Connected:
As part of our volunteer family, you’ll receive regular updates, invitations to events, and opportunities for ongoing learning and leadership.
